Honedown does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Data Practices in Detail

Honedown collects no data. Images are processed locally on your Mac and never transmitted anywhere. The app makes no network connections and contains no networking code. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party services. Temporary compressed files are created in the system temp directory during processing and cleaned up automatically.

Information We Do Not Collect

Network Access

Honedown makes no network connections and contains no networking code. The app has no ability to transmit data off your device to any server, ours or otherwise.

Third-Party Data Sharing

The Honedown app does not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. No third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data processing services are built into it.

If You Buy Direct From This Site

Everything above describes the app, which collects nothing. Buying a licence is a separate act with its own data, so it gets its own disclosure. It applies only if you purchase from this website; a Mac App Store purchase is handled entirely by Apple and we receive no personal information from it.

• Stripe processes the payment and receives your email address, billing address, and card details. We never see or store your card number. Stripe is the source of the receipt email you get after paying.
• Resend delivers the email containing your licence key, and receives your email address in order to send it.

Your licence key is derived from your email address and the purchase itself, and is generated fresh each time it is requested rather than stored. We keep no customer database of our own: the record of your purchase lives in Stripe, which is also what the licence lookup page reads when you ask for your key again.

Direct purchase is available to buyers in the United States only. If a non-US billing address is used, no licence is issued and the payment is refunded automatically.

App Store Privacy Label

This app’s App Store privacy label declares: Data Not Collected. The developer does not collect any data from this app.

Children’s Privacy

Because no data is collected, this app is safe for users of all ages. We comply with COPPA and equivalent regulations by virtue of not collecting any information whatsoever.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our data practices, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and increment the app version.
