Vanecast does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Data Practices in Detail

Vanecast collects no data. It requests no Location Services permission and contains no location framework. The only location information it uses is the ZIP code or city name you type, which is sent to Open-Meteo to look up coordinates and fetch the forecast. Saved cities and your temperature unit are stored locally on your Mac and never leave it. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

• No user profiles or behavioral analytics
• No device identifiers or fingerprints
• No advertisements

Third-Party Data Sharing

The Vanecast app does not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. No third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data processing services are built into it.
